Recent Purchases!

Hello again,
Today I'm simply just going to share with you a few things I've bought recently!

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint & Precision Shaping Pencil

You may have heard of this on YouTube channels such as Zoella and Velvetgh0st (that's how I heard about it!) and when they say it's amazing, believe them - it is! The pen end is really precise and the pencil end is good for just adding a bit of extra colour! Mine is in the shade 'Brownie Points' and I must say, extra brownie points go to Soap & Glory for this product and the shade name haha! It costs £10.

Soap & Glory Supercat eyeliner

This liner is in felt tip form, making it easy for everyone to apply, even if you aren't the best at eyeliner. It costs £6, so it's very affordable!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick

You may also have heared about this on YouTube channels such as Fleur De Force and Velvetgh0st, which is how I heard about it, and it looked absolutely gorgeous on them, so I decided to pick it up, and I do not regret it at all! It smells amazing, it is glossy and just beautiful! It costs £8, I really recommend it, I have it in the shade 'nudist'.

Revlon Matte and Lacquer Balms

The lacquer balm is in the shade 'Coquette', which is a beautiful bright pink, and the matte balm is in the shade 'unapologetic' which is an even brighter pink (You could say it's slightly coral). They are both very moisturising even the matte one, and they come in a large range of colours!

Barry M Matte Top Coat

This Barry M top coat is perfect if you want to experiment with the popular matte nail trend, you just paint your nails with whatever colour you want, apply this in place of your regular polish and there you go! Gorgeous matte nails!

W7 In The Nude Palette

This palette is an amazing dupe for the Naked 3 palette, with gorgeous pink-toned colours. The shadows are very pigmented and there's a mixture of matte and shimmer. It's very affordable, at only £7 it's a whole £30 less than one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes! There's also 'in the buff' which is a great dupe for the Naked 2 palette, again at the same price! You can buy them at next, if your next sells W7 makeup, or I think you can buy them on Amazon too!

I hope you've enjoyed this blogpost,
Let me know what you think of any of these products!

Daisy Nails!

Last august, I did daisy nails, they went down very well and I was asked for a tutorial sort of thing, so here's how you do them, please excuse the very old photos haha!

What I used:
Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Daily Nail Treatment
Ruby Hammer Recommends (for debenhams) white tip nail polish
A yellow Barry M limited edition nail paint, which has no name but you can use any colour you want for this bit!
Barry M Gelly Hi Shine nail paint in Greenberry
A cuticle stick with a pointed end or a cocktail stick

1. Apply a base coat to your nails to prevent staining and to keep your nails healthy!

2. Dip the cuticle stick into some white polish and make five white dots of nail polish, in a circle , all of a similar size (don't worry if these don't look very neat at the moment!)

3. Wipe the nail polish off the cuticle stick or get another one, place it in the middle of one of the white dots and drag in towards the centre of the circle of white dots. Repeat this with all the dots so it looks like they join at the centre and you can do this a few times on different bits of your nail, I did it three times, you can do it more or less depending on the length of your nails.

4. Using your cuticle stick again, dip the pointed end into your yellow polish (or whatever colour you have decided to use) and put a dot in the centre of your flowers.

5. This is the step I found hardest to show you in a photograph, but take your other colour, mine is a green-blue, and make little swirls as stems and leaves of your flower.

6. Let the design fully dry and apply a top coat to seal in your design and make it last longer!

Of course you don't have to use the same colours as I did, you could have a pink flower or a yellow flower it's totally up to you! You could also just do it on one nail as your accent nail, like the nails in my previous blogpost!

I was pretty amazed that I could still do the design after nearly a year haha;)

I really hope you enjoyed this little nail tutorial thing, as much as I did playing around with this cute design!
Let me know what you think, are there any more nail designs you'd like me to try out?

Have fun trying this out on yourself and your friends!

Lots of love,

Hair, Nails and Outfit of the Day!

Today, I thought I'd try something a little different and do an outfit post, but I'm including my hair and nails today as well!

The outfit!

I'm wearing an oversized white top with a cute little pocket on it which is from pink, a blue bandeau from new look, a pair of leggings and black shoes, it's been a very warm day here so I just wanted something simple and comfy, that won't be too warm!

Nails!

I did daisy nails this morning (I'll post the blogpost for them soon) and I used the matte topcoat from Barry M just because I felt like trying after buying it yesterday!

Hair!

For my hair, I left it natural and added a Lace Braid on one side to make it more interesting. When you're doing a lace braid, instead of taking new pieces of hair from both sides like I'm a French plait, you take hair from only one side!

I seem to be including my pets at the end of all my blogposts now, I promise I'll stop (eventually). Florence just looked too cute when she was sat with me while I was doing my nails this morning!

I hope you enjoyed this little blogpost, please let me know if you want to see more like this!

Things I Love For Summer and Recent Purchases!

Hello,

I'm sorry about it being a month since my last blogpost, (luckily Emma. W saved the day by writing a post to publish on Thursday!) but all my exams are over and I've been working on a blogpost (that's taking me longer than expected) and I thought why not write a relaxed, hopefully interesting blogpost?!

So here are some things I love for summer and recent purchases of mine!

Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder
I bought thus powder from boots recently and I think it's great! It sets your makeup and helps to keep your skin from looking shiny throughout the day, because none of us want our skin to look really greasy and oily!
It was £3.99, so very affordable!
It has a good sized mirror in it as well, so it's great for on the go!

Seventeen Clear Definition Mascara

Clear mascaras are great because they have multiple uses - as a mascara, a brow gel and they can tame the little bits of hair on your hairline that refuse to stay down, so it's a very handy product to have!
This one cost £4.69, and you can buy it in Boots!

Seventeen Lip Crayon
This lip crayon, which has no colour name, was a free gift I received for buying two Seventeen products. I don't think I would've bought it if it wasn't free, but it's nice. It goes on your lips a very bright red-orange colour, with a lot of shine.
I don't know how much they cost, and I think there was a choice of only two colours.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I bought this because I've seen it around and I just felt like trying it! It claims to be hypoallergenic, which is good for all of you who are like me and have very very sensitive skin! It is refreshing and takes off makeup really well, and the bottle is massive so is amazing value for money. I can't remember the exact price, sorry, but you can buy it in Boots and probably Superdrug as well! Who can spot the cat in the photo?

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
I bought this in the shade Vanilla, which when I initially looked at the bottle I thought would be too dark, but it's a great match for my skin! It's light and not a very high coverage, but that's what I'd want in a foundation, I wouldn't want it to be too heavy! It's got a warmer, more yellow tone for it, so if you have a cooler, more pink toned skin tone, it's probably not for you. It costs around £11, which I think is a good price for a product of such good quality, and you can buy it in Boots and Superdrug.

Seventeen Stay Time Concealer
I bought this concealer because they had no Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer left in the right shade for me, and it's almost exactly the same, but I'd say the formula is less drying, so less likelyto look cake-y on your face! The Collection concealer is £4.19 in Boots and Superdrug and the Seventeen concealer is £4.79 (I think) in Boots.

Bourjois Délice de Poudre
One of the main reasons I love this is because of the smell! I think it smells amazing, but some people don't, it's really a matter if opinion! But it's lovely to just warm up the face with, again like the foundation, it's quite warm toned, so people who have fair and pink toned skin might find it looks a little orange. You can buy this in Boots and Superdrug, I can't remember how much it costs.

Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara

Of course, you have to have a waterproof mascara for summer! I love this one, it holds the curl in your lashes and gives them length and volume! I think it costs around £8, and you can buy it in Boots and Superdrug!

Bourjois Colour Boost
I have the colour 'Peach on the Beach' which is an amazing bright pink/peach colour, it's very opaque and is very glossy on the lips. Again, I'm sorry, I can't remember the price, but it's available in Boots and Superdrug.
Revlon Lip Butter
I love the Revlon lip butters - they are moisturising and come in a wide range of colours! I love Wild Watermelon, it's a gorgeous coral-red colour, perfect for summer!

My Cats!
Cats are just great all year round, Percy looked too cute not to take a photo of and include in the blogpost haha! Poppy and stitch (his mum and brother) and of course, Percy, are with me now as I am writing this, they're stuffing their faces with food in my room away from the dogs!

I really hope you enjoyed this blogpost and it was interesting to you!
Please comment letting me know what you thought, all feedback is appreciated!

Lots of love,

Heavenly Nutella Cupcakes!

Today I decided to do some baking, and when I was getting my ingredients out of the cupboard I found a jar of Nutella, so I thought why not incorporate Nutella into the cupcakes?!

 The ingredients:
•butter
•sugar (preferably caster but I only had Demerara!)
•self raising flour
•eggs
•Nutella

Before starting you will need to preheat your oven, I put mine on at around 180 degrees (I have a fan oven).

Firstly, I weighed out 200 grams of butter and 200 grams of sugar into a mixing bowl, it's helpful if the butter is quite soft because it makes it easier to mix.
I used an electric whisk to mix them together in order to get the mixture as smooth as possible, and to be a bit faster!

Next I added 4 eggs into the bowl.
Then I weighed 200g of self raising flour and mixed it all together, and that's the basic cupcake mixture!

After this, I put cupcake cases in a tray and added a spoonful of mixture to the bottom of each case. I used a dessert spoon for this and filed the cases under half full.

Next is the exciting part! I took the Nutella and placed a small teaspoonful of Nutella in the centre of each case.
In the photo there's quite a lot of Nutella on the spoon. I didn't use that much, it was just for the photo, but of course you can use as much or as little as you want!

I then added the remaining cupcake mixture over the Nutella, so the centre of each cupcake would have Nutella in, and placed the tray into the oven which should've heated up by now! I left mine in for 25-30 minutes, but I think they could've been in for a bit less time and still have been cooked well, but it depends how big the cupcakes you have made are and your oven as well.

The end result:

Don't they look delicious?! They sure taste it! They're especially nice when they're warm (there's an excuse for you to eat them fresh out of the oven;) )

I didn't follow a recipe from a book or the internet to make these, I made it up as I went along, so I wasn't sure how they would turn out, but I'm very pleased! You could also replace the Nutella for little chunk of chocolate, or maybe even peanut butter or if you're feeling adventurous, Nutella and peanut butter, although I'm not a fan of peanut butter so I'll pass on that one!

I hope you enjoyed this, and I would love to hear if you make these for yourself!

Lots of love,
Emma xxx
