Yes!

Hey guys it's Lauren!

It has been common for human beings (for teenagers especially!) to just say no.

No?

Oh, well, it is for me anyway!

Whenever someone asks me, 'Do you want to do something today?' or 'Do you want to come round?' or 'Do you want to go to the gym?' I always say no.

I am not sure why because, I always complain about not having a social life, or not going to the gym enough, but then when the opportunity arises for me to actually accomplish these things, I always stress out or panic and make an excuse, which is not helpful!

I feel like a home-bird, just cooped up in the comfort of my nest (my house if you didn't get the metaphor, and I love my bedroom especially!) and I don't think it is a confidence issue, because I am a confident person and will do anything for a laugh. I am not sure what it is, and I hope that people are the same as me.
And sitting here, right now writing this, has made me think 'what am I holding back? If I go out with my friends, I might have one of the best days of my life, I might enjoy myself if I go out more.'

So that's why I have to change. Now, before it's too late.

I have decided that if I ever get the opportunity to go out with my friends, family etc. I will take the opportunity and say yes.

I began with asking my friend if she wanted to come and see 'Bad Neighbours', a new film which is being released on May 3rd. We agreed that we would see it, because to be honest, we just wanted to see Zac Efron shirtless, AGAIN! (Thanks Rita ;D)

(I remember Zoella doing a post like this quite a few months back, and I feel like that's what inspired me.)

This post wasn't to tell you 'oo, look at me, I have no social life!' it was to inform you that if you have the same issue then 'heres what I am doing, here's some advice you could use.' Because as the old sayin' goes, 'YOLO!'

I am only kidding! But that is something you can take into consideration, you do only live once and you're only ever going to be this young once in your whole existence! Why waste it, sitting here reading this blogpost, or watching YouTube videos, or generally just procrastinating, because you and I both know, everyone does it!
If you are offered to go somewhere, even if it only going to your nans house or going to Tescos, go! Saying yes only makes you more confident and saying no will only throw your whole childhood and teenage years out the window! Okay, maybe not that dramatic, but it will only make you less confident!

Do something great with your life while you have the chance.

Say yes.
Say it now.

Say it with me, because as I write this next sentence, I am going to say 'yes'.

Ready?

Say it with me...

JUST. SAY. YES!

Hairstyle Ideas!

The other day, one of my guest bloggers and best friends, Kate, was round at my house and we saw the opportunity to do a hairstyles post because we both, funnily enough, have hair and we both have the capability of styling hair and also taking photos, so that's what we did and these are some of the hairstyles we came up with!

Hairstyle 1

For this hairstyle I started at one side of Kate's head and I did a Dutch braid (or inverse French braid or whatever you want to call it) and I carried it on all the way to the other side of her head, and when I ran out of hair to add in to the braid, I carried it on as a normal braid. I wanted the look to be soft, so I tugged at each bit of the braid to loosen it slightly. I then looped the braid around into a bun (which because of the softness of the braid looked almost like a flower) and secured it down with hair grips. I think this hairstyle looks gorgeous and looks a lot more complex than it really is!

Hairstyle 2

Kate did this hairstyle on me! She took my hair back into a low ponytail, leaving a few sections out for the next few steps, and secured the ponytail with a hair bobble (of course!). She then took one of the sections from one side of my head and took it to the ponytail and wrapped it around, securing with hair grips. She then took the section from the other side of my head and braided it, she then took this to the pony tail and wrapped it over, securing it with hair grips! Kate them took a curling wand and added some curls into my pony tail, to add a different texture into the hairstyle! This is a great hairstyle for every day because it doesn't take too long to do and it justs adds a bit more interest to your hair than just a plain ponytail! Thank you Kate for percisting with my very thick hair, and taking such good photos, we had a bit of trouble with taking the photos of my hair, because my hair is very dark, but we got there in the end after trying two different cameras and different settings!

Hairstyle 3

For this hairstyle I sweeped all of Kate's hair to one side, and secured it with a hair bobble, but leaving a little section out at the front. With the section at the front, I wrapped it around the top of the pony tail, hiding the bobble, and secured with a few hair grips. I love the overall effect of this hairstyle, it's really casual, but pretty at the same time, and the curls in Kate's hair (from the hairstyle I'll show you next) reall make it look extra pretty!

Hairstyle 4

For this hairstyle, Kate started out with fairly straight hair. I started at one side of her head, and I did a waterfall braid all the way around Kate's head. If you don't know what a waterfall braid is, it's a type of braid where you start like a normal French braid, and you pick up sections of hair and add it into the braid but with the strand of the braid nearest the bottom, you pick up a new section of hair but you drop the section that you were using at that point, it's hard to explain but if you go on youtube there are plenty of tutorials that can show you how to do a waterfall braid! After doing the braid all the way around Kate's head, I secured it with a hair grip and put a tiny section at the front on the top, to hide the end of the braid! After that I took a curling wand and I curled all of Kate's hair! I think out of all the hairstyles we did, this was our favourite! It looks so soft and pretty and is definitely something you should all try out!

I really hope you enjoyed this blogpost, if you did, please let us know by leaving a comment!
This was great fun to make as well:)

Lots of love,

Kate's Room Tour!

Hi guys! For my first ever blogpost I've decided to do a room tour, hope you enjoy it!

Below, is what you see when you first walk through the door. My room is at the back of the house, so looks over the garden. I love to look out the window, and see what people are up to in the garden; especially in summer!

I have a daybed, which is from Ikea. I love to sit on it and and relax; I'm usually on Instagram or YouTube whilst doing so!

On the other wall, is my dressing table and desk, which are also from Ikea, they have such a lovely range, and everything is so affordable! I love my dressing table, and like to decorate it with pretty fairy lights and my makeup brushes.

I also like to have a selection of candles burning; they look so pretty, and make the whole room smell amazing!

My desk is where I keep most of my things; books, pens, jewellery, hair tools! There's a lot of shelves so it's very useful. Instead of having a desk light, I have some fairy lights (also from Ikea)! I love to sit at my desk and browse the internet on my laptop; usually on various online shops!

My chest of drawers always has the book I'm am currently reading - at the moment it's divergent. Above them, I also have a cute picture that was a birthday present from my Aunt.

As I play the piano, I have a keyboard in my room, although I don't use it very much!

Finally, here is a photo of the mirror above the fireplace, which reflects the rest of the room.

I hope you enjoyed my room; I really enjoyed doing this post and can't wait to do more!

Lots of love,
Kate xxx

Every day makeup routine!

I thought I'd do an everyday makeup post for you! It's not the most interesting as I prefer to keep my makeup natural on a day to day basis!

These are the products I use!

I use the maybelline dream pure bb cream in light, I have the oil free formula which contains salicylic acid in, which is a common ingredient in skin care products so this product actually helps your skin, and it has an SPF of 15! I apply a little but around my face, buffing it in with a real techniques brush! I then use the collection lasting perfection concealer in fair to cover spots and other redness. I then leave the skin and move onto eyes!

All I do for eye makeup is curl my eyelashes, to make my them look longer, and to open up my eyes, making me look more awake! I then apply some mascara, my favourite is the maybelline the rocket volum' express mascara because it doesn't clump but it makes your lashes look nice and long! The wand is plastic, so I wasn't expecting to like the mascara as much as I do!

I then set my makeup using a physicians formula powder that I found in TK maxx! I think it's in the shade buff. I sometimes use rimmel stay matte, or the loreal bb powder, depending what I feel like, and I apply them with the real techniques contour brush!
Finally, I finish off with lip balm so my lips are nice and moisturised and if I feel like pushing the boat out I'll use a nude/pink lipstick, my favourites at the moment are loreal Eva's nude and a revlon matte balm in complex!

I hope you enjoyed reading about what makeup I usually wear!

Please follow, comment and share if you enjoyed, and I hope you enjoy our future blogposts as well!

Lots of love,
Emma xxx

Welcome!

Hello,

My name is Emma and welcome to my blog!

This isn't just any blog though, it's not just going to be me! I have enlisted the help of some fabulous guest bloggers to create exciting blog posts of their own for this blog, especially for you, because we don't want you to get bored!

I found all my guest bloggers on Instagram (with the exception of one of my best friends) and they all seem like lovely girls who are going to do a great job of being guests, and I will be inviting new guests in the future too!

My next post will be introductions to my guests, so I thought why not give you an introduction to me as well!

As you know, my name is Emma, I'm fifteen years old and my Instagram is @_emma__c!

I love photography, art, makeup, fashion, animals and baking!

I created this blog because recently I've been asked quite a lot to start a blog or a YouTube channel, and at the moment, youtube isn't really on the cards for me, (maybe in the future if you persuade me enough!) so I thought a blog would be the perfect thing for now!

I'm really excited to get this blog up and running and be able to have everyone posting blogposts that I'm sure will be absolutely amazing!

On this blog we are going to have all things beauty, fashion and lifestyle, so anything from ootd's and nail tutorials to little advice posts and Q&As!

I'm going to finish this post of now, and leave you with a photo of one of my dogs, Florence, looking very excited, to reflect how excited we all are for this blog!

Thank you for reading,
I hope you enjoy all our future blogposts! Don't forget to follow this blog, comment and share with your friends if you like it!

Lots of love
Emma xxx
